Reception and handling plan for ship-generated waste and cargo residues

Article 63 of the Law on State Ports and the Merchant Navy (amended by RDL 2/2011) entrusts the Port Authorities with the preparation and approval of plans for the reception and handling of ship-generated waste and cargo residues.

The purpose of these plans is to reduce discharges of ship-generated waste and cargo residues into the sea and to prevent illegal discharges from ships using Spanish ports.

The current Plan for the reception and handling of ship-generated waste and cargo residues in the Port of the Bay of Cadiz is attached, as well as its corresponding User’s Guide.
