The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz (APBC) has today opened the City Quay to public use coinciding with the launch of the bicycle lane in the section that runs on public port land.
Coinciding with the opening of the bicycle lane in the section that runs through the quay, the port authority has made the gate permeable and from today pedestrians can access the site in the area of the City Quay
From today, pedestrians will be able to access the area through two gates in the fence that separates the bicycle lane from the port area. In order to safeguard the safety of visitors, the average speed inside the port area has been reduced to 20 km/hour, vertical and horizontal signposting has been reinforced and opening hours will also be specified, which in summer will be from 7 am to 12 pm.
In order to make the space more accessible, the Port Authority has installed several shade modules and benches in recent months, with 8 awning structures totalling 512 square metres, and has delimited the area with planters.
