The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz is participating this week in the largest European event in the nautical sports sector, Boot Düsseldorf, which is being held from the 18th to the 26th of January in the German city.
The participation of the port of Cadiz is done through Suncruise Andalusia, the Association for the promotion of cruise tourism and nautical sports in the region, formed by the Port Authorities of Almeria, Bahia de Algeciras, Bay of Cadiz, Huelva, Malaga, Motril and Seville.
This important annual fair, of international character, is an interesting opportunity to establish contacts with professionals and individuals with interest in this market, making known the extensive infrastructure available to the Andalusian region to promote the activity in a privileged environment.
The Port of the Bay of Cadiz will take advantage of the event to promote its growth potential in the sector, as well as its current facilities and promote the generation of new market niches in the traffic and repair of mega-yachts.
As is known, the port of Cadiz has 7 facilities and a Sailing Technification Centre: Four in Cadiz (Real Club Nautico, Elcano, Puerto America and Viento de Levante) and four facilities in El Puerto de Santa Maria (Real Club Nautico EPSM, Puerto Sherry, La Rampa and the Sailing Technification Centre).
Between them they add up to 2,371 moorings under concession by the Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz. The seven Andalusian Port Authorities have a total of 5,484 sports moorings, which means that Cádiz represents 43 percent of the Andalusian capacity.
